Macaela Mazzarolo

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Arlie is a second year Occupational Therapy student at UniSA. Arlie decided to pursue a career in

Occupational Therapy because she wanted to support people to improve their wellbeing and participate in meaningful activities. Arlie values collaborative problem solving and understands the importance of independence and empowerment for clients. She looks forward to working with our clients to help them achieve goals best suited to their unique needs, desires and strengths in their

daily activities.

Arlie has been working in the education sector for over four years. This experience has contributed to her appreciating the importance the physical and social environment has on a person’s wellbeing and participation in occupations. This experience has allowed her to strengthen her understanding of development across the lifespan, behavioural and emotional regulation, empathy, building

trusting relationships and equity service provision for people of all ages and backgrounds. As our Occupational Therapy Assistant, Arlie will provide support to the Occupational Therapists with case management, administering therapeutic programs and basic equipment set up and education.

Macaela is currently completing her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at the University of South Australia. With a passion for creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments, she was drawn to occupational therapy for its ability to foster meaningful change in people’s everyday lives.

Macaela is particularly interested in client-centred care and collaborative problem-solving. She values working alongside individuals to identify practical strategies that promote independence and support them in achieving their goals. She is committed to building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and respect.

Throughout her training, Macaela has led group therapy sessions and supported children in early learning settings, where she facilitated play-based interventions that encouraged engagement and developmental growth. These experiences have sharpened her skills in communication, activity adaptation, and responsive support planning—foundational qualities she brings to her work at Kube Therapy Co.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, Macaela supports our therapists with case coordination, implementation of therapeutic programs, and basic assistive equipment setup and education. She is excited to contribute to a team that shares her values.
